Luminous Path's Student Placement and Internship Program

Luminous Path's Student Placement and Internship Program is open to individuals who are nearing the end of, or graduated their Counselling and/or Psychotherapy tertiary education. This opportunity is for individuals who seek practical industry experience and is designed to support emerging practitioners develop in the following areas:

• Build Clinical Confidence
• Increase and reflect upon clinical skills
• Maintain ethical and professional practice
• Explore professional identity through gradual client contact (Where appropriate)
• Reflective practice through case discussion and formulation
• Exposure to clinical and operational industry experience

Luminous Path offers flexibility unlike other and most providers where experience and engagement is 100% online. As the industry, growth, and accessibility for online demand rapidly increases, our program offers a different approach to the traditional face to face engagement reflecting upon the future of Counselling and digital service delivery. 

Since the Pandemic, more services have been delivered online than ever before. As the industry is evidently vital to the emotional and mental wellbeing of our community, there is urgency to reflect the growing shifts in flexibility to offer Telehealth practice to maintain modern practice.

Placement structure is aimed at completion of study as well as seeking membership towards various registering bodies including (but not limited to) PACFA, ACA, AASW.

Luminous Path's Clinical Supervisors are fully accredited through extensive training of providing Professional and Clinical Supervision.
